The CAS Psychological Society joined the global observance of Mental Health Awareness Month at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation to promote reflection, courage and compassion under the theme “Let our serene minds be our safe havens.”
Through the observance, the organization encouraged students to recognize mental health as equally important as physical health and to view awareness as the first step toward healing.
Officers emphasized that healing begins with recognition and open dialogue rather than silence. “Awareness invites change. It teaches us to honor rest without guilt and to speak without fear,” a society representative said.
The initiative sought to foster a campus culture grounded in compassion, resilience and mutual support. Members reminded the university community that seeking help demonstrates strength and that every individual deserves space to pause, reflect and process emotions without judgment.
By joining the global campaign, the CAS Psychological Society reinforced its advocacy for mental health education and continuous conversations that extend beyond the month-long observance.
The initiative reflected the University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service and Unity by promoting empathy, self-awareness and collective responsibility for well-being. It also supported transformative and student-centered learning by encouraging open dialogue and emotional growth within the academic community.
