Mechanical engineering student unit welcomes 160 members at virtual orientation

Strengthening engagement and communication among mechanical engineering students, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers–MSEUF Student Unit conducted its General Orientation 2026 through Microsoft Teams on July 27 with 160 participants.

The virtual activity brought together incoming second-year Mechanical Engineering students and current third- and fourth-year members. It introduced participants to the organization’s vision, mission, objectives, membership guidelines and planned activities for academic year 2026-27.

The organization’s president delivered the opening remarks, followed by reports from officers on its accomplishments and activities during the previous months. Participants also received opportunities to ask questions, connect with other members and learn about the organization’s role in supporting academic excellence, professional growth and leadership development.

The program concluded with a virtual photo opportunity with the incoming second-year students and the documentation of the activity.

Through the orientation, the PSME student unit strengthened connections among members from different year levels and encouraged their active participation in upcoming programs. The activity also reinforced the organization’s commitment to developing competent, responsible and future-ready mechanical engineering students through collaboration and meaningful involvement.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered and outcomes-oriented education by connecting students with opportunities for academic, professional and leadership development. It also reflected the core values of Excellence and Unity by promoting communication, collaboration and active participation among future mechanical engineers.
