Political Science Society welcomes freshmen; participates in OSAlubong 2026
To introduce incoming students to student organizations and encourage engagement in university life, the Political Science Society (PSS) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation participated in OSAlubong 2026: the annual freshmen welcoming activity led by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS)
The event brought together accredited student organizations, university offices, and incoming freshmen through a campus-wide orientation that introduced students to university support services, extracurricular opportunities, and organizational activities.
As one of the participating organizations, PSS hosted an information booth that assisted students who needed campus guidance and provided an interactive space where freshmen could learn more about the organization.
Throughout the activity, PSS officers welcomed first-year Political Science students, answered inquiries about membership and organizational activities, and introduced opportunities related to leadership development, academic enrichment, community outreach, and civic engagement.
The activity also allowed freshmen to connect with current members and gain a better understanding of PSS’s role in promoting political awareness and responsible citizenship. Through student-to-student interaction, the organization encouraged new students to participate in activities that support personal growth, leadership development, and community involvement.
OSAlubong 2026 highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Office of Student Affairs and Services and accredited student organizations in creating a welcoming introduction to university life. Through the participation of organizations like PSS, the activity strengthened a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and connection among the newest members of the Envergan community.
