Strengthening its membership and preparing students for active organizational involvement, the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers–MSEUF Student Chapter conducted the Therbligs Screening and Interview on Aug. 15 at CET Building Rooms 106-108.
The activity formed part of the organization’s membership process and involved PIIE members and second-year Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering students applying to become part of the organization.
During the screening, applicants introduced themselves, shared relevant experiences and discussed their reasons for joining PIIE-MSEUF. They also explained how they could contribute to future organizational activities and initiatives.
The interview allowed officers to learn more about each applicant’s interests, motivations, skills and level of commitment. It also gave applicants an opportunity to interact directly with current members and become more familiar with the organization.
Through the process, PIIE-MSEUF sought to identify applicants who demonstrated enthusiasm, responsibility, teamwork and willingness to participate actively in the student chapter.
Beyond membership assessment, the activity encouraged confidence, communication and camaraderie among participants while helping establish a foundation for teamwork and professional growth among prospective members.
The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s student-centered approach by encouraging students to develop communication, confidence, responsibility and organizational involvement. It also reflected the core values of Excellence, Unity and Fortitude through active participation, teamwork and commitment to professional growth.
- SDG 4: Quality Education — The screening process provided students with opportunities to develop communication, self-expression and interpersonal skills beyond the classroom.
- SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — Participation in a professional student organization can help students develop teamwork, responsibility and other competencies relevant to future professional practice.
