MSEUF strengthens environmental stewardship through tree planting
The Office of Student Affairs and Services organized a tree planting activity at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation to encourage students to take active roles in environmental protection while strengthening campus-wide awareness on climate action and sustainability.
Students, faculty members and volunteers worked together to plant tree seedlings in designated campus areas. The activity aimed to improve green spaces and support long-term ecological balance within the university.
An OSAS representative said the initiative formed part of the university’s continuing efforts to integrate environmental stewardship into student development programs.
“We want students to experience responsibility for the environment firsthand, not just learn it in the classroom,” the OSAS representative said.
Participants expressed appreciation for the activity, noting that it helped them better understand the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges.
Through the tree planting activity, OSAS provided students with a meaningful opportunity to practice environmental responsibility and contribute to the improvement of the campus community.
The activity aligned with MSEUF’s mission of forming socially responsible individuals through student-centered and transformative learning. It also reflected the University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity and Fortitude by encouraging students to actively contribute to environmental care and community improvement through experiential learning.
