EBF wins national flairtending title at UFTE Skills Olympics


TAGUIG CITY — The Enverga Bar Flippers of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation delivered a strong performance at the 17th Annual UFTE Tourism and Hospitality Congress and Skills Olympics held Oct. 2-3, at Treston International College in Bonifacio Global City.
Representing the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management, Jessalyn Ladesma won National Champion in Flairtending, while Darryl Ortega secured sixth place in the same competition.
Their combined performance helped MSEUF-Lucena City earn the Overall Champion title, adding another national achievement to the university’s record in hospitality and tourism skills competitions.
The UFTE National Competition gathered top hospitality and tourism students from across the country to showcase technical skills, creativity and professional discipline in their respective fields.
For the Enverga Bar Flippers, the competition served as a platform to demonstrate the quality of training, dedication and hands-on learning fostered within the university.
Ladesma impressed the judges with a polished routine that showed precision, confidence and flair. Ortega also delivered a strong performance, contributing valuable points that helped secure the institution’s overall championship.
The achievement brought pride to the MSEUF community and reinforced the reputation of the Enverga Bar Flippers as one of the university’s leading student groups in national hospitality competitions.
Through their consistent performance, EBF members continue to show that discipline, creativity and technical excellence can bring meaningful recognition to the university.
This achievement reflected MSEUF’s commitment to learning by doing and outcomes-oriented education by allowing students to apply their hospitality skills in a national competition.
