The MSEUF Communication Society served as the official production team for the Battle of the Bands technical rehearsal on Feb. 10, helping prepare the stage and technical requirements for the campus concert.

Ahead of the main event, the society’s production crew spent hours fine-tuning technical elements to ensure a smooth experience for the performing student bands and the audience.

The rehearsal served as a dry run that allowed the team to test equipment, coordinate transitions and address logistical concerns involved in a large-scale campus production.

MCS members handled stage cues, audio-visual requirements and other technical demands with focus and teamwork. The activity also gave students a classroom-in-the-field experience where they applied communication theories and production skills in a real school setting.

For many members, the rehearsal provided firsthand exposure to the fast-paced environment of event production while strengthening their confidence, coordination and technical readiness.

Through the activity, MCS helped support the successful preparation of a university event while giving communication students meaningful opportunities to learn through practice.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered and outcomes-oriented education by allowing communication students to apply classroom learning in an actual production setting. It reflected the University’s core values of Excellence, Unity and Fortitude through teamwork, technical preparation and hands-on learning.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education — The activity provided experiential learning in event production, technical coordination and communication practice.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — The rehearsal helped students develop workplace-relevant skills in production management and live event operations.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals — The activity strengthened collaboration among student organizers, performers and the MCS production team.
