MASTECH serves as umpires in online academic quiz
The MSEUF Association of Multimedia Artists and Technologists served as umpires during the Efren A. Micor Online Academic Quiz Competition on Feb. 9 at the University Gymnasium to help ensure academic integrity and provide technical support for competing teams.
MASTECH representatives assisted in the morning competition after the University Collegiate Student Council requested support for the activity.
The team stationed umpires between the tables of college delegations to prevent participants from viewing opponents’ screens and to maintain a fair testing environment.
Aside from monitoring the competition, MASTECH representatives provided immediate technical assistance for hardware concerns, including malfunctioning keyboards and other computer equipment.
They also helped distribute essential testing materials such as paper and pencils to ensure the competition proceeded smoothly and without delays.
The Efren A. Micor Online Academic Quiz Competition formed part of the university’s founding anniversary activities and highlighted the intellectual skills of students from different colleges.
Through its support, MASTECH contributed to the successful conduct of an academic event that promoted fairness, discipline and excellence among Envergan students.
The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Excellence, Service and Fortitude by encouraging students to support academic integrity, respond to technical needs and help uphold fairness in university competitions. It also supported outcomes-oriented education by giving students practical experience in event support, technical assistance and responsible service.
