MASTECH paint emotions for OSAS Mental Health Awareness
Students from the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies under the MSEUF Association of Multimedia Artists and Technologists joined a creative art session for Mental Health Awareness on Oct. 29, to promote emotional wellness, self-expression and empathy among Envergans.
The Office of Student Affairs and Services spearheaded the activity, which gathered students from various campus organizations.
The session provided a safe space for participants to “open their hearts” through visual arts and reflect on their personal feelings and experiences.
Using paper, crayons, markers and other coloring materials, students created artworks based on given themes related to mental health and emotional well-being.
The activity highlighted the therapeutic benefits of art by allowing students to decompress, express themselves and pause from their academic routines.
Through the collaborative art session, participating student organizations helped promote open conversations on mental health and reduce stigma within the university community.
The initiative formed part of OSAS’ continuing efforts to support the psychological and emotional needs of Enverga University students.
The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service and Unity by encouraging students to recognize their emotions, support one another and build a more compassionate campus culture. It also supported student-centered learning by providing a creative and reflective space for students to strengthen emotional awareness and well-being beyond the classroom.
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – The activity promoted emotional wellness, mental health awareness and healthy self-expression.
- SDG 4: Quality Education – The session supported holistic learning by addressing students’ psychological and emotional needs.
- SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – The initiative encouraged empathy, inclusion and a supportive campus environment.
