The Hospitality Management Society collaborated with Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in organizing and executing the General Orientation for New and Transfer Students, helping create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for students beginning their academic journey.

The orientation introduced new and transfer students to the university environment, services and community culture. It served as an important platform to help students feel a sense of belonging, adjust to campus life and engage early in academic and extracurricular activities.

HMS members actively supported various aspects of the event, including stage skirting and decoration. Their work helped enhance the overall atmosphere of the program and contributed to a positive first impression among the new members of the university community.

Through the activity, HMS demonstrated service, professionalism and event management skills. The organization applied hospitality standards through careful preparation, attention to detail and teamwork.

The collaboration also gave HMS members valuable hands-on experience in hospitality and event operations. By assisting in a major university function, members strengthened their practical skills while supporting the university’s effort to welcome new and transfer students.

The activity reinforced the importance of student-led involvement in campus events. It also strengthened the spirit of community and cooperation between student organizations and the university.

The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to student-centered education by helping new and transfer students begin their university life with guidance, warmth and support. It also upheld the core values of Service, Excellence and Unity as HMS members worked together to contribute their skills to a meaningful university event.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education — The orientation supported students’ transition into university life and encouraged early engagement in learning and campus activities.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — HMS members developed practical skills in hospitality, event operations and professional service.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals — The activity showed collaboration between the university and a student organization in supporting student welfare and engagement.
