Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers–MSEUF Student Chapter hosted “SynapSense: Think Like an IE, Power Up with AI” at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation to explore how artificial intelligence enhances industrial engineering practices.
Students and aspiring engineers joined the event, which featured discussions on how AI transforms problem-solving, optimizes systems and enables data-driven decision-making in the field of industrial engineering.
The program included insights from industry professionals and academic experts such as James Louie Meneses, Maria Rita Nicodemus, John Rover Sinag and Ronie Penino of Globe Telecom, who shared real-world applications and emerging trends.
“Artificial intelligence empowers engineers to make smarter and more efficient decisions in complex systems,” one speaker said during the session.
Participants engaged in discussions and exchanges that expanded their perspectives on innovation and adaptability in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Organizers said the event created opportunities for students to connect, collaborate and strengthen their interest in integrating technology with engineering solutions.
SynapSense concluded with participants expressing appreciation for the knowledge shared and the opportunity to engage with professionals in the field.
