HMS joins MSEUF foundation week celebration

The Hospitality Management Society joined Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s foundation week celebration, themed “79 Years of Upholding Global Excellence,” by setting up a booth that showcased the skills, talents and service-oriented identity of hospitality management students.
The celebration gathered selected MSEUF student organizations that presented booths aligned with their respective fields. For four days, HMS officers and members participated in university-wide activities, managed booth operations and engaged with students from different departments.
Through the activity, HMS represented the hospitality department with professionalism and enthusiasm. Members applied their knowledge in event coordination, customer service and booth management in a high-energy campus setting.
The booth also provided an opportunity for HMS members to interact with the wider student body and promote the organization’s role in developing future hospitality professionals. Their participation helped create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere during the celebration.
The event strengthened the bond among HMS officers, members and the rest of the university community. It also gave the organization practical experience in managing activities, serving visitors and working as a team during a major institutional event.
The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to learning by doing and student-centered education by giving hospitality management students a real setting to practice service, communication and event coordination. It also upheld the core values of Excellence, Unity and Service as HMS members worked together to represent their department and contribute to the success of the celebration.
- SDG 4: Quality Education — The activity provided practical learning in event coordination, customer service and student leadership.
- SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — HMS members developed work-related skills relevant to hospitality, service and tourism industries.
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals — The celebration encouraged collaboration among student organizations and strengthened community engagement across the university.
