Ensuring the safety of participants throughout a high-energy campus event, the Enverga University Student Nurses Association (EUNSA) deployed a first aid response team during the CNAHS Sports Festival and Acquaintance Party 2025 at the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Gymnasium.

The two-day activity, held Sept. 9-10, 2025, involved 36 EUSNA officers and member volunteers who provided medical assistance under the supervision of school nurse, Reynold Reforma, RN.

On the first day, the team covered various sports competitions, including volleyball, basketball and traditional Filipino games. Several participants sustained minor injuries such as sprains, muscle cramps and falls. The EUSNA First Aid Team administered immediate interventions, including cold compress, bandaging, application of liniment, guided stretching and reassurance.

The second day focused on the acceptance rites for first-year nursing students and the acquaintance party. Some participants experienced dizziness, fatigue and discomfort due to physically demanding activities. EUSNA members promptly responded by monitoring vital signs and providing supportive care, ensuring safe recovery.

Organizers said the team’s visible presence and readiness to respond contributed to a safe and supportive environment throughout the event. The initiative aimed to safeguard the well-being of students while allowing activities to proceed without major disruptions.

The project enabled EUSNA members to strengthen their skills in first aid response, emergency preparedness, teamwork and leadership by applying nursing knowledge in real-life situations. Participants, including athletes and first-year students, benefited from timely medical attention, while the university community reinforced its commitment to safety and compassionate service during campus events.

The activity was supported by the University Medical and Dental Clinic, which provided essential supplies, along with contributions from student volunteers. No expenses were incurred for the project.
