The Fine Arts Society participated in the SAFE-EU: Self-Defense and Safety Training Program on March 6, to equip student-artists with practical skills in personal safety, situational awareness and basic self-defense.

The training introduced members to safety measures and physical defense techniques that may help them respond to unexpected situations on campus and in urban environments.

Participants also learned the importance of alertness, preparedness and responsible action in ensuring their personal security.

Through the activity, members gained practical knowledge and improved confidence in protecting themselves while continuing to engage in academic and creative pursuits.

The program also supported a safer learning environment where students can grow creatively and confidently.

By joining the initiative, the Fine Arts Society reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being and safety of its members.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Fortitude and Service by encouraging students to stay alert, prepared and responsible in protecting themselves and others. It also supported student-centered learning by providing practical life skills that promote confidence, discipline and personal well-being.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – The training promoted personal safety, confidence and well-being among students.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – The activity provided practical learning beyond the classroom through safety and self-defense training.
  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – The program supported safer learning spaces through awareness, prevention and responsible action.
