EUSNA welcomes freshmen through OSALubong 2026
Welcoming incoming freshmen through OSALubong 2026, the Enverga University Student Nurses Association (EUSNA) guides freshmen become familiar with the campus and adjust to their academic environment at the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) Building, July 13-14.
The two-day initiative supported the university’s annual welcoming program by providing guidance and assistance to freshmen as they located classrooms, learned about campus facilities, and accessed university services.
Twenty-five EUSNA officers and volunteer members managed the organization’s Information Desk, where they responded to students’ inquiries about classroom assignments, schedules and other campus-related concerns. Volunteers also accompanied freshmen to their assigned classrooms and provided brief campus tours to help them navigate the university.
To make the activity more engaging, EUSNA prepared interactive activities, including the Human Slot Machine and Funny Fortune Teller, which encouraged participation and helped create a comfortable atmosphere for new students. Freshmen also received giveaway items and school supplies, including pins, stickers, keychains, ballpoint pens, correction tapes, tickler notebooks and sheets of paper.
EUSNA assigned volunteers according to their strengths to ensure efficient service throughout the event. Officers supervised the activity, while volunteers welcomed students, answered questions and assisted them around the campus.
“The start of the freshmen's nursing profession should be greeted with delight and warmth that the nursing community can give,” said John Charles Devela, EUSNA president.
The activity strengthened connections between freshmen and higher-year nursing students by promoting mentorship, cooperation and a sense of belonging within the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. It also provided EUSNA officers and volunteers with opportunities to enhance their leadership, teamwork, communication and organizational skills while demonstrating the organization’s commitment to student service.
OSALubong 2026 reflected Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered learning by supporting freshmen as they transition into university life. The initiative also demonstrated the core values of Service and Unity by encouraging nursing students to assist one another and build a supportive academic community.
The activity contributed to the development of graduates with leadership and professional skills through hands-on involvement in organizing, communicating and serving fellow students.

The activity supported quality education by helping incoming students adapt to their learning environment and providing peer support that contributes to a positive academic experience.

The initiative strengthened collaboration among nursing students through volunteer service, mentorship and teamwork in supporting incoming freshmen.
