Student nurses strengthen leadership skills at LEAPS planning workshop

Strengthening its capacity to develop sustainable and well-managed programs, the Enverga University Student Nurses Association participated in the Leaders Advancement Programs and Services Planning Workshop: Student Organizations Assembly on July 28 at the Alumni Building.
The organization’s president and secretary represented EUSNA at the workshop, which the Office of Student Organizations organized in partnership with the University Collegiate Student Council. The activity carried the theme “EU Leaders: Empowering and Uniting for Collaborative Success.”
The workshop equipped student organization officers with essential knowledge and skills in organizational planning, implementation and evaluation. Participants attended a session on “Sustainability in Action: Strategies and Programs at Enverga University,” which emphasized aligning student-led initiatives with the University’s mission, vision and sustainability goals.
The discussion presented environmental stewardship, social responsibility and economic sustainability as guiding principles in developing meaningful organizational programs. Speakers also explained the procedures for securing activity permits and complying with University requirements and institutional standards.
Another session introduced strategic planning concepts, including goal setting, SWOT analysis, stakeholder identification and the development of action plans aligned with the University’s strategic direction. The workshop also covered resource management, budgeting, time management, risk assessment, collaboration, communication, monitoring and evaluation.
EUSNA representatives joined discussions, planning exercises and knowledge-sharing sessions with leaders from other student organizations. The workshop allowed participants to exchange best practices, strengthen interorganizational partnerships and explore approaches to developing sustainable student programs.
EUSNA will use the knowledge and strategies gained from the activity to design programs that promote responsible leadership, organizational excellence and meaningful service to the Envergan community.
The workshop supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered and outcomes-oriented education by providing student leaders with practical competencies in planning, management and program evaluation. It also reflected the core values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence and Unity by promoting sustainable leadership, collaboration and responsible organizational practices.
