EBF welcomes freshmen through interactive booth at Osalubong 2024
The Enverga Bar Flippers welcomed freshmen during Osalubong 2024 at the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management by setting up an interactive booth that introduced new students to hospitality skills through games, challenges and a complimentary signature drink.
The activity aimed to give freshmen a lively and memorable welcome as they entered the CIHTM community. EBF designed a three-level challenge that tested participants’ knowledge, senses and speed while promoting the organization’s identity and the skills connected to bar service.
The first activity challenged students to identify different bar tools. The second required participants to take part in a blindfold-and-sniff challenge, where they identified alcoholic beverages through scent. The final round featured a bottle-matching race that added excitement and friendly competition to the booth.
Students who completed all three levels received a signature EBF complimentary drink. The reward gave participants a fun conclusion to the experience while reinforcing the organization’s welcoming and service-oriented approach.
The booth drew strong student interest and created an energetic atmosphere in the CIHTM halls. Through the activity, freshmen enjoyed a warm and entertaining introduction to campus life while gaining a glimpse of hospitality-related skills.
For EBF members, the event provided hands-on experience in booth management, guest interaction and activity facilitation. It also highlighted the organization’s ability to combine professional knowledge with creativity and student engagement.
Overall, the activity benefited incoming CIHTM students by helping them feel welcomed, involved and connected to the college community at the start of the academic year.
The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to student-centered and learning-by-doing education by giving students meaningful opportunities to apply hospitality skills in a real engagement setting. It also upheld the core values of Service, Unity and Excellence as EBF members worked together to create a welcoming and interactive experience for freshmen.
