CAS Psychological Society officers participated in SAFE-EU: Self-Defense and Safety Training on March 6, to strengthen their personal safety awareness, preparedness and basic self-defense skills.

The University Collegiate Student Council organized the university-wide initiative to help Envergans develop confidence and readiness in protecting themselves and others.

The whole-day activity featured two parts, beginning with a morning session at the St. Bonaventure Student Center that focused on essential safety principles and self-defense awareness.

In the afternoon, CPS officers joined the exclusive training for student organizations at the DT Room of the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology Building.

The hands-on session allowed participants to observe practical demonstrations and apply defensive techniques that may help them respond to real-life situations.

Through the activity, CPS officers recognized that safety starts with individual preparedness and grows through shared responsibility within the university community.

The training also helped the organization promote student welfare, confidence and resilience as part of its active role in campus life.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Fortitude and Service by encouraging students to stay aware, prepared and responsible in protecting themselves and others. It also supported student-centered learning by giving student leaders practical life skills that strengthen confidence and campus safety.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – The training promoted personal safety, confidence and overall student well-being.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – The activity provided practical learning beyond the classroom through safety awareness and self-defense training.
  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – The initiative supported a safer and more resilient university environment through preparedness and responsible action.
