Supporting student well-being during athletic competition, the CAS Psychological Society participated in the College of Arts and Sciences Sports Fest 2026 through its “Tearapy: Mind Over Matter” booth on Sept. 4 at the Twin Court of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.

The activity formed part of the Sports Fest organized by the College of Arts and Sciences Council of Officers in collaboration with CPS, the Communication Society and the Social Science Society. CAS students and athletes participated in the daylong sports activities and competitions.

Operating from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the CPS booth offered fruit tea, bottled water, soft drinks and banana muffins to students and athletes. The initiative provided participants with convenient access to refreshments while highlighting the importance of hydration, nutrition and physical well-being during a demanding sports event.

Through “Tearapy: Mind Over Matter,” CPS extended its wellness advocacy beyond traditional mental health activities by addressing practical physical needs that contribute to overall student well-being.

The activity also strengthened the organization’s involvement in college-wide programs and demonstrated how student groups can support athletes and participants through wellness-focused initiatives. The CAS community concluded the Sports Fest as the overall champion.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to holistic and student-centered development by promoting physical well-being alongside active participation in sports. It also reflected the core values of Mindfulness, Service and Unity through wellness advocacy, student support and collaboration among CAS organizations.
