LUCENA CITY — The Enverga Bar Flippers partnered with the MSEUF Community Relations Department to launch the Pantawid-Gutom Pantry, a community outreach project that supported University Site jeepney drivers affected by the ongoing fuel crisis.

The initiative aimed to provide grocery assistance to local transport workers experiencing financial strain due to rising fuel costs. Through the project, EBF showed its commitment to social responsibility and active community service.

EBF members helped lead the logistical preparations for the pantry. They coordinated with rice suppliers and grocery stores to source essential goods and maximize the impact of their donations.

The team also sorted, weighed and packed food items into eco-bags to ensure that each beneficiary received a fair and substantial share. Their careful preparation helped support an organized distribution process.

Beyond providing food assistance, the activity strengthened EBF’s linkages with the community and encouraged a deeper culture of empathy among members. It also allowed students to take part in meaningful service that responded to a real local concern.

Through the Pantawid-Gutom Pantry, EBF demonstrated how student organizations can use their platform to support vulnerable sectors and contribute to the greater good of the community.

The initiative reflected MSEUF’s mission of community service by encouraging students to respond to the needs of local transport workers with compassion and concrete action. It also upheld the core values of Service, Mindfulness and Unity as EBF members worked together to support jeepney drivers facing economic challenges.
