Showcasing creativity, entrepreneurship and teamwork, the Junior Marketing Association earned first place in the Booth Competition during CBA Fiesta 2026, held Sept. 23-25 at the CBA Building.

The fiesta celebrated the patron saint of the College of Business Administration and brought together student organizations through activities designed to strengthen unity, participation and school spirit.

As part of the celebration, JMA organized the JMA Marketplace, a themed booth where invited merchants showcased and sold products and services. The initiative provided participating businesses with a venue to reach students while giving the organization an opportunity to promote entrepreneurship and engagement within the college community.

JMA members worked together to plan, design and manage the marketplace throughout the three-day celebration. Their collective efforts in booth design, presentation and overall execution earned the organization first place in the Booth Competition.

Beyond the recognition, the activity provided students with practical exposure to marketing, customer engagement and event management while encouraging collaboration among JMA members.

Through the JMA Marketplace, the organization contributed to a more engaging CBA Fiesta while strengthening its visibility and supporting entrepreneurial participation within the college community.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s learning-by-doing and student-centered educational approaches by allowing students to apply marketing, organization and entrepreneurial skills in an actual event setting. It also reflected the core values of Excellence and Unity through creativity, teamwork and active participation in the college community.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education — The activity provided experiential learning opportunities in marketing, entrepreneurship, event management and teamwork.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — The JMA Marketplace supported entrepreneurial activity by providing invited merchants with a venue to showcase and sell their products and services.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals — Collaboration among JMA members, merchants and other participating groups strengthened engagement within the CBA community.
