Strengthening teamwork and student participation within the business community, the Society of Financial Management Students partnered with the CBA Department Student Council for activities during the CBA Fiesta held Aug. 23-25 at the RBA Hall and San Lorenzo Ruiz Hallway of the CET Building.

As part of the celebration, SFMS officers worked together to prepare and manage a booth featuring food, accessories, makeup and skincare products. The organization also prepared a memory game to provide students with an interactive activity during the event.

Through the booth, SFMS members gained opportunities to collaborate in planning, organizing and managing activities while representing their organization within the wider CBA community. Their collective efforts earned the booth fifth place among the participating entries.

SFMS also participated in the novena in honor of San Lorenzo Ruiz, adding a community-centered component to its involvement in the fiesta activities.

The partnership between SFMS and the CBA Department Student Council encouraged greater student involvement and strengthened cooperation among organizations. Through the activity, members practiced teamwork and shared responsibility while contributing to a more engaging college community.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered learning by giving students practical opportunities to develop teamwork, organization and active participation beyond the classroom. It also reflected the core values of Unity and Service through collaboration among student organizations and involvement in college community activities.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education — Participation in planning and managing the booth provided experiential opportunities for students to develop teamwork, organization and interpersonal skills.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals — The collaboration between SFMS and the CBA Department Student Council demonstrated how student organizations can work together toward shared activities and objectives.
