CAS Social Sciences Society welcomes freshmen at Organization Fair
Promoting student involvement, leadership and belonging, the CAS Social Sciences Society participated in the General Orientation 2026: Organization Fair on July 31 at the University Gym of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.
The Office of Student Affairs and Services organized the annual event to welcome incoming freshmen and introduce them to the University’s recognized student organizations.
The CAS Social Sciences Society established an interactive booth in front of the University Gym to present its mission, programs and activities while creating a welcoming space for freshmen and other members of the University community.
The booth featured interactive games, with ballpens, stickers and candies awarded as prizes. The organization also sold Spam musubi, graham balls and handmade fuzzy-wire keychains to engage visitors and support its initiatives.
Throughout the activity, the booth provided opportunities for officers and members to interact with prospective members. Through games and conversations, CAS SSS encouraged incoming students to explore opportunities for leadership, service and personal development within the organization.
The activity also strengthened the teamwork, communication and leadership skills of the organization’s officers and members. By creating an engaging environment, CAS SSS helped foster a sense of belonging among freshmen and encouraged them to become active members of the Social Sciences community.
The activity supported the University’s commitment to student-centered learning by introducing freshmen to opportunities for leadership, service and personal development beyond the classroom. It also reflected the core values of Service and Unity by creating a welcoming environment and encouraging active participation in the University community.
