The CAS Social Sciences Society joined the General Orientation at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation on Aug. 3, outside the university gymnasium to welcome incoming freshmen through an interactive booth that introduced the organization’s mission, programs and opportunities for involvement.

As part of the university’s effort to present student organizations to new students, the CAS Social Sciences Society created a lively booth experience that encouraged freshmen to engage with the group in a fun and welcoming way.

The booth featured interactive games that freshmen enjoyed throughout the activity. It also included a creatively designed mirror spot where students took photos and captured their first moments as part of the university community.

The setup quickly became a popular stop for attendees because it offered both entertainment and a warm introduction to campus life. Through the booth, the organization gave freshmen an inviting space to learn more about student involvement.

Members of the CAS Social Sciences Society spent time designing and building the booth, showing creativity, teamwork and dedication. Their effort highlighted the organization’s identity and reflected its commitment to helping new students feel included.

Through the activity, the CAS Social Sciences Society connected with the freshman class and encouraged students to explore their interests, enjoy their stay on campus and become active participants in university life.

The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to student-centered and transformative learning by helping freshmen begin their university journey in an engaging and welcoming environment. It also embodied the university’s core values of Mindfulness, Unity, Service and Excellence by promoting inclusion, participation and meaningful student connection from the start of campus life.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education – The orientation supported student learning beyond the classroom by introducing opportunities for involvement and holistic development.
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – The welcoming booth created an inclusive space where incoming students could feel seen, connected and encouraged to participate.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – The activity supported the university’s broader orientation efforts by linking student organizations and new students in one shared initiative.
