CAS Social Sciences Society holds dry run for Social Sciences Week webinar

The CAS Social Sciences Society conducted a dry run on April 13, at Kopizina Learning Hub in Ibabang Dupay to prepare officers, committees and participants for the upcoming online seminar of Social Sciences Week 2026.
The activity gathered chairpersons, organization officers and standing committees involved in the seminar. It served as a full simulation of the virtual event to ensure clear coordination, technical readiness and organized program delivery.
Although the main seminar will be held online, the dry run allowed the organizers to rehearse presentations, check technical setups and test internet connectivity. These preparations aimed to support the smooth execution of the virtual program.
Organizers said the dry run helped identify possible issues, especially in the technical aspects of the event. Members encountered some challenges but addressed them through practical solutions and repeated testing.
Through the activity, members and committees gained more confidence in managing virtual platforms and presentations. The preparation also strengthened teamwork, communication and coordination within the organization.
The dry run benefited CAS Social Sciences Society members, officers, organizing committees and the expected participants of Social Sciences Week 2026, who will experience a more organized and engaging online seminar.
The organization allocated ₱2,500 from its funds for the venue, which provided a comfortable environment and stable internet connection. These resources helped ensure the success of the dry run and the overall preparedness of the team for the upcoming event.
The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to outcomes-oriented and transformative learning by helping students develop planning, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills through hands-on preparation. It also embodied the University’s core values of Excellence, Unity and Fortitude by promoting teamwork, readiness and resilience in addressing challenges before the main event.
