LUCENA CITY — The Association of Operations Management Students of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation donated rice to the university-led Pantawid-Gutom Pantry on April 21, at the ground floor of the Alumni Building to support University Site jeepney drivers affected by rising fuel costs.

The initiative, organized by the university through the Community Relations Department, aimed to provide food assistance to drivers experiencing financial strain due to the ongoing fuel crisis.

AOMS contributed seven 5-kilogram packs of rice, which were turned over to the Community Relations Department for proper distribution to the beneficiaries.

The donation came from the collective effort of AOMS officers, with additional financial support from the organization’s founder. The support helped the organization expand its contribution to the pantry initiative.

Although AOMS did not serve as the primary organizer, its participation reflected the organization’s continued commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.

The Pantawid-Gutom Pantry sought to ease the burden of jeepney drivers while encouraging collaboration among student organizations in responding to community needs.

The initiative reflected MSEUF’s mission of community service by encouraging students to take part in meaningful outreach efforts that respond to real social concerns. It also upheld the core values of Service, Mindfulness and Unity as the university community worked together to support local drivers facing economic challenges.
