KAMFILAN holds forum on media, economy during Martial Law


KAMFILAN held “Alaala at Aral: Lente ng Midya at Ekonomiya sa Panahon ng Batas Militar” on Sept. 30, 2025, at St. Bonaventure to promote critical reflection on Martial Law and its lessons for society.
The activity highlighted the role of media, economics, truth and democracy in shaping public understanding and national development.
Through the discussion, participants were encouraged to examine how historical events continue to influence civic awareness, responsible communication and democratic participation.
The forum also provided a space for students to reflect on the importance of truth-seeking, informed citizenship and critical thinking in understanding the country’s past.
By connecting media and economic perspectives, the activity helped participants gain a broader view of Martial Law and its lasting impact on society.
The event reinforced KAMFILAN’s commitment to promoting Filipino history, culture, language and social awareness through meaningful academic and civic activities.
