The CAS Psychological Society served as partner and participant in the webinar “Philippines in a Global Village: Strategic Defense, Transformative Education, and Environmental Sustainability” on April 14 as part of the Social Sciences Week 2026 celebration.

The event gathered experts and students to discuss key issues affecting the country, including national defense, education and environmental sustainability.

Through its participation, CPS showed its commitment to understanding the broader social and national contexts that shape communities and student leadership.

Lt. Mike Anthony Mogol discussed national defense and emphasized the role of citizens in protecting the country’s sovereignty.

Gilbert Alva discussed the learning crisis and highlighted the importance of collective action and unity in transforming education.

Arby Salamillas Lagman, represented by Josh Santiago, presented the university’s environmental efforts and reminded participants of the role of students in creating greener and safer communities.

Through the webinar, CPS members gained a deeper sense of national identity and recognized that education, environmental care and civic responsibility require active participation.

The activity also encouraged students to see their personal and professional growth as part of a wider responsibility to contribute to a better and more sustainable Philippines.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence and Unity by encouraging students to engage with national concerns and take part in meaningful discussions on education, security and sustainability. It also supported transformative learning by helping students connect classroom knowledge with real-world issues that affect communities and the country.
