College of Business and Accountancy

The College of Business and Accountancy recognized its Top 5 qualifiers after the Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition elimination round  at Ysmael V. Baysa Hall in Lucena City, highlighting students’ finance mastery and readiness for higher-level contests through timed problem-solving and case drills, Aug. 29.

CBA ranked the qualifiers as follows: Top 1: Austin Ng; Top 2: Jaztine Junio; Top 3: Gabriel Pacaigue; Top 4: Jade Kimberly Padilla; Top 5: Lexian Janna Santidad. Faculty coaches administered written and buzzer rounds that covered corporate finance, investments, financial markets and ethics.

“Our qualifiers showed discipline, accuracy under pressure and teamwork—the same qualities that drive excellence in the finance profession,” said Dr. Flormando Baldovino, CBA dean. “We will intensify coaching so they convert this momentum into stronger results in the next stages.”

CBA thanked all participants for stepping up and urged the cohort to support the team’s review sessions in the coming weeks.

This recognition advanced MSEUF’s mission to deliver outcomes-oriented, student-centered learning by validating finance competencies through authentic competition.
