The MSEUF DOST Scholars’ Guild, in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs and Services, Juris Peritus Criminis, Criminology Martial Arts Society and CCJC First Responders, conducted “HANDS-UP EU: A Unified Program for Healthy, Abuse-Negative, Drug-Free, and Smoke-Free Enverga University” on March 11 at the AEC Little Theater.

Four student representatives from the DOST Scholars’ Guild joined the program, which aimed to strengthen awareness, discipline and responsibility within the university community.

The activity featured informative seminars focused on promoting a safer, healthier and more disciplined campus environment. Discussions covered key issues affecting student welfare, including the harmful effects of tobacco and vape use, drug-abuse prevention and responsible decision-making.

The program also included legal awareness sessions on the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 and the Anti-Hazing Law. These discussions helped students better understand the health risks and legal consequences connected to harmful behaviors.

Through the initiative, participants gained knowledge that can guide them in making more responsible life choices. The program also reinforced the importance of discipline, social responsibility and unity across the student body.

By supporting HANDS-UP EU, the DOST Scholars’ Guild and partner organizations helped advance a campus culture grounded in health, safety, awareness and care for others.

The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to student-centered education by supporting programs that protect student welfare and promote responsible choices. It also upheld the core values of Mindfulness, Service, Unity and Fortitude as student organizations worked together to build a safer, healthier and more informed university community.
