The SAFE–EU: Self-Defense and Safety Training program was conducted March 6 at the St. Bonaventure Student Center, CCJC Building 3rd Floor, with participation from the MSEUF DOST Scholars’ Guild.
The program was organized to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills for personal safety and self-defense. It was divided into two sessions, beginning with a morning seminar that introduced basic self-defense concepts and discussions on various martial arts. This was followed by an afternoon hands-on training session where participants practiced fundamental self-defense techniques under the guidance of an expert instructor.
The initiative aimed to strengthen student awareness of personal safety and improve their ability to respond to potential threats or dangerous situations. Through both theoretical discussion and practical application, participants gained valuable insights into protecting themselves and others.
The program also contributed to building student confidence and preparedness, reinforcing the importance of awareness and responsibility within the university community. It reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting safety-oriented education and student development.
Overall, the SAFE–EU initiative provided a comprehensive learning experience that enhanced both knowledge and practical skills in self-defense and personal safety, with the MSEUF DOST Scholars’ Guild actively taking part in the activity.
