CCJC holds ethics, discipline training for criminology freshmen
The College of Criminal Justice and Criminology of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted an academic development program on Oct. 2, at the CCJC Department DT Room, where PMAJ Marcelito Platino trained first-year criminology students on ethics and discipline to prepare them for responsible law enforcement roles.
Platino led discussions that emphasized integrity, fairness and respect for human rights as core principles in policing, using practical examples to show how ethical decisions affect public trust and community safety.
The program also highlighted discipline as a foundation of professionalism. Students joined activities that reinforced responsibility, self-control and proper conduct in real-life scenarios they may encounter in the field.
“Ethics and discipline are not just lessons, but habits that every future law enforcer must live by,” Platino said. “You must carry these values in every action because the public depends on your integrity.”
Organizers said the initiative formed part of the college’s continuing effort to strengthen character formation alongside academic learning.
The program aimed to equip students with both knowledge and values needed to become accountable and service-oriented professionals in the future.
The activity reflected the University’s core values of Excellence, Mindfulness and Fortitude by promoting ethical leadership, discipline and responsibility among students. It also supported outcomes-oriented education by integrating values formation with professional training.
