GEP-QSC welcomes students; conducts GE orientation

To introduce third-year and fourth-year Geodetic Engineering students to the organization’s mission, programs, and opportunities for professional development, The Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines – Quezon Student Chapter (GEP-QSC) conducted the GE Orientation: "Innovation for Progress, Measurement of Laws", MSEUF CET Room, July 17.

Organized by third-year and fourth-year Geodetic Engineering students of GEP-QSC, the activity presented the organization’s vision, mission, objectives, upcoming programs, and planned activities for the academic year.

The orientation provided participants with an overview of GEP-QSC’s role in supporting academic growth, leadership development, and professional preparation. Through presentations, discussions, and interactive activities, students gained a better understanding of the value of active participation in the organization and the opportunities available to its members.

The activity also highlighted the connection between classroom learning and the practical applications of the Geodetic Engineering profession. Students were encouraged to develop leadership, responsibility, and professionalism as they prepare for their future roles as Geodetic Engineers.

The orientation strengthened students’ awareness of GEP-QSC’s purpose while promoting unity, collaboration, and camaraderie among members. It encouraged greater participation in future organizational programs and initiatives while fostering a stronger sense of belonging within the organization.

Through the activity, participants gained insights into the responsibilities and professional values expected of future Geodetic Engineers, helping prepare them to become competent, responsible, and future-ready professionals in the field.
