PSME MSEUF-SU welcomes freshmen in OSAlubong 2026
To introduce incoming students to the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program and support their transition to university life, The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers – Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Student Unit (PSME MSEUF-SU) participated in OSALUBONG 2026, the official welcome event for Academic Year 2026–2027, beside the Dean's Office of the College of Engineering, July 13-14.
Organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), the two-day event welcomed incoming students as they began their journey in the College of Engineering.
As part of the celebration, PSME MSEUF-SU mounted an interactive booth featuring games, a themed photo booth, and hands-on learning activities that introduced freshmen to the field of mechanical engineering. The booth also gave students the opportunity to interact with the organization's officers and members while learning more about the Mechanical Engineering program.
In addition to the interactive activities, members of PSME MSEUF-SU served as guides and staffed an information desk to assist new students in locating classrooms and answering questions about engineering programs and campus life. These efforts helped create a welcoming and supportive environment for freshmen during their first days at the University.
The event attracted more than 100 participants, many of whom joined the games, explored the interactive mechanism displays, and expressed interest in the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program and the organization.
Through its participation in OSALUBONG 2026, PSME MSEUF-SU highlighted its commitment to academic excellence, student engagement, and community building within the College of Engineering. The organization also encouraged students to participate in its upcoming activities throughout the academic year as part of its continuing efforts to promote learning, leadership, and professional development among future mechanical engineers.
The activity reflected Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation's commitment to student-centered and transformative learning by helping incoming students transition into university life through meaningful engagement and peer support. It also advanced the University's mission of developing graduates with leadership, professionalism, and research-based knowledge while demonstrating its core values of Service, Unity, Mindfulness, and Excellence through student-led initiatives that foster an inclusive academic community.
