The Enverga Bar Flippers supported “The Greatest Showman: A Masquerade Gala Night” at the MSEUF Gymnasium by operating a beverage booth to help raise funds for Abet Borromeo, a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management alumnus who is battling lung cancer.

The event served as a fundraising initiative that combined hospitality service with a cause-centered effort for a beloved member of the CIHTM community. EBF set up a beverage station that offered mocktails, sodas and coffee for gala guests.

To keep guests served throughout the program, EBF members also roved around the venue and offered drinks directly to attendees. The approach allowed guests to stay engaged in the gala while enjoying refreshments without leaving the program area.

The initiative drew strong support and generated sales that exceeded expectations. Through each purchase, the organization helped raise additional funds for Borromeo’s medical needs.

The activity also gave EBF members a meaningful opportunity to apply their hospitality and beverage service skills in a real event setting while supporting a cause that reflects compassion and solidarity within the university community.

By taking part in the fundraiser, the Enverga Bar Flippers showed that hospitality service can go beyond technical skill and become a form of service to others.

The activity reflected MSEUF’s mission of forming socially responsible individuals who use their skills to serve others with compassion and purpose. It also upheld the core values of Service, Unity and Mindfulness as EBF members worked together to support a member of the alumni community through a meaningful fundraising effort.
