Expanding student participation in institutional storytelling and digital engagement, the Center for Marketing Innovation and Digital Engagement (CMIDE) oriented 31 qualified members of the Proud Representatives for Institutional Storytelling and Marketing (PRISM), on Sept. 18.

The orientation introduced the newly selected members to their roles in creating authentic student-centered content and representing different facets of the Envergan experience across the University’s communication and marketing platforms. The participants underwent a screening process before their acceptance into the program.

Acting Senior Vice President Atty. Dario Opistan welcomed the members and challenged them to produce authentic content that reflects genuine student experiences and the University community. Vice President for External Relations Celso Jaballa, meanwhile, used the image of a prism to describe the role of the student representatives. “Enverga University is the light, and you are the different colors,” Jaballa said, emphasizing how individual perspectives can collectively present the University’s diverse stories.

CMIDE Head John Rover Sinag encouraged the members to approach their new responsibilities with creativity, sound judgment and confidence in their developing abilities. “You are encouraged to create. You are trusted to use good judgment,” Sinag said. “You were selected because we saw something worth developing in each of you. Some of you already have experience. Some are still discovering what they can do. That is okay. PRISM is not expecting perfection on your first day.”

Sinag also underscored the value of student voices in communicating the University experience. “Your perspective matters. Your voice can inspire. And your story may help another student see that there is a place for them in this university. Starting today, you are no longer only part of the Envergan story. You will help us tell it,” he said.

Miss Enverga University 2026 Mia Elisse Poblete facilitated a team-building session that encouraged the PRISM members to interact, share insights and begin developing stronger working relationships as a team. The activity helped establish collaboration among members who will work together on future storytelling and promotional initiatives.

In the afternoon, the group conducted its initial photoshoot, producing images intended for future University promotional materials across multiple communication channels. Through PRISM, CMIDE aims to develop a student-centered network of storytellers who can contribute creative perspectives, strengthen institutional visibility and present authentic experiences from across the Envergan community.

PRISM supports Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered learning and digital engagement by giving students practical opportunities to develop communication, creativity and content production skills. The program also reflects the core values of Excellence, Unity and Mindfulness by encouraging responsible storytelling, collaboration and authentic representation of the University community.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education — PRISM provides experiential opportunities for students to develop communication, creative, digital and professional skills beyond the classroom.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure — The program encourages innovative digital content creation and the use of contemporary communication platforms for institutional engagement.
