- Program Outcomes
- Demonstrate the competence to perform the functions pertaining to navigation, cargo handling and stowage, controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board;
- Demonstrate service orientation in one’s profession;
- Demonstrate ability to engage in various types of employment, development, activities, and public discourses, particularly in response to the needs of the community one serves;
- Demonstrate support “national, regional, and local development plans”, of the country through participation in the generation of new knowledge and research and development projects, especially those from stat universities and colleges;
- Contribute to the existing body of knowledge through research or other forms of creative discourse and innovative works;
- Apply knowledge in mathematics, science, and technology in solving problems related to the profession and the workplace;

- Career Opportunities
Entry Level:
- Deck Cadet: Assist in navigation and watchkeeping duties on board a vessel. Learn the practical aspects of ship operations under the supervision of experienced officers.
- Third Officer/Mate: Assume watchkeeping responsibilities on the bridge. Assist in navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures.
- Port Operations Assistant: Support port operations, including vessel berthing and cargo handling. Coordinate with port authorities and shipping companies.
Mid-Level:
- Second Officer/Mate: Take on more responsibilities in navigation and watchkeeping. Supervise junior officers and crew members.
- Marine Surveyor: Conduct inspections of vessels to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Provide recommendations for maintenance and improvements.
- Marine Superintendent: Oversee the operational aspects of a fleet of vessels. Monitor vessel performance, safety, and compliance.
Senior Level:
- Chief Officer/Mate: Assume overall responsibility for deck operations on board a vessel. Manage navigation, cargo handling, and safety procedures.
- Port Captain: Manage and coordinate vessel traffic and operations within a port. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Marine Operations Manager: Oversee the overall marine operations of a shipping company. Coordinate with various departments to optimize vessel performance.
Managerial/Executive Level:
- Master/Captain: Hold the highest-ranking position on board a vessel. Take overall command and responsibility for the safety and navigation of the ship.
- Fleet Manager: Manage and coordinate the activities of a fleet of vessels. Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet optimization.
- Director of Marine Operations: Oversee the entire marine operations department within a shipping company. Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
