Political Science Society reinforces environmental responsibility through University-Wide Clean-Up Drive

The Political Science Society of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation participated in the Campus-Wide Cleaning Drive held on April 16, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and community service through direct outreach initiatives.
The activity gathered students, university volunteers, and organizers in a coordinated effort to maintain a clean, green, and sustainable learning environment. The Campus-Wide Cleaning Drive served as a platform for fostering teamwork and solidarity, particularly in addressing environmental concerns and promoting community support within and beyond the University.
The initiative focused on the restoration and beautification of campus grounds, reflecting the collective effort of student organizations and university stakeholders in responding to the need for ecological preservation. The Political Science Society actively took part in the cleaning process, contributing manpower support and assisting in the smooth facilitation of the activity.
Organizers emphasized that the program is part of the University’s continuing Community Extension Service (CES) efforts, which aim to instill volunteerism and social awareness among students. Through participation in the initiative, members of the Political Science Society were able to apply principles of environmental governance and civic responsibility in a real-world setting.
Student members of the organization noted that the experience strengthened their sense of accountability and deepened their understanding of social realities, particularly the importance of sustainable development. The activity also reinforced their commitment to advocacies aligned with environmental protection and community empowerment.
The successful conduct of the Campus-Wide Cleaning Drive demonstrated the importance of collaboration between student organizations, university units, and community stakeholders in addressing shared concerns. It highlighted how collective action can create a meaningful impact for the campus and its residents.
The activity reflects the University’s core values of Service and Unity by encouraging active participation in community-centered initiatives. It also supports experiential learning by allowing students to engage directly in outreach programs that develop social awareness and civic competence.
