EUSNA mobilizes volunteers for campus clean-up ahead of AUN-QA

The Enverga University Student Nurses Association of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation mobilized 55 volunteers for a campus-wide clean-up drive on April 16 to support preparations for the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance assessment scheduled April 20–23.
The four-hour activity, organized in partnership with the Office of Student Organization, gathered nursing students and adviser Althea Cristine Escritor to improve campus cleanliness and ensure a conducive environment for academic activities and institutional evaluation.
Volunteers cleaned key areas, including the Student Lounge, Kalayaan Hall, Saint Bonaventure Student Center and the Student Organization Area. Participants collected and properly disposed of waste materials, resulting in more organized and sanitary surroundings.
“This initiative shows how our students contribute actively to university-wide efforts beyond academics,” Escritor said.
Organizers said the activity promoted environmental awareness, teamwork and shared responsibility while reinforcing the organization’s commitment to service.
The clean-up drive benefited students, faculty and staff by helping create a safer and healthier campus environment. It also supported the University’s readiness for the AUN-QA assessment, which evaluates academic programs and institutional performance across Southeast Asia.
The University and the Office of Student Organization provided cleaning materials, allowing the activity to proceed without additional expenses.
The initiative reflected the University’s core values of Service, Unity and Fortitude by encouraging collective responsibility and active student participation in institutional efforts. It also demonstrated outcomes-oriented education by allowing students to apply teamwork and civic responsibility in a real-world setting.
- SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being: The activity promoted a clean and safe environment for the university community.
- SDG 4 – Quality Education: A well-maintained campus supports effective learning and institutional excellence.
- SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Collaboration between student organizations and university offices strengthened shared institutional goals.
