The Political Science Society of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation participated as a partner organization of the Social Sciences Society in the webinar titled “Philippines in a Global Village: Strategic Defense, Transformative Education, and Environmental Sustainability” held on April 14, reinforcing its commitment to civic engagement, social responsibility, and community service in celebration of Social Sciences Week 2026.

The activity gathered students, student organizations, honored guest speakers, and organizers in a coordinated effort to extend critical information regarding national and global issues. The webinar served as a platform for fostering compassion and solidarity, particularly in addressing national security, educational advancement, and ecological stewardship within and beyond the University.

The initiative provided essential knowledge and strategic insights to students, reflecting the collective effort of student organizations and valued professionals in responding to pressing social needs. The Political Science Society actively took part in the partnership process, contributing manpower support and assisting in the smooth facilitation of the activity alongside the Department of Social Sciences.

Through participation in the initiative, members of the Political Science Society were able to apply principles of public service and civic responsibility in a real-world, globalized setting. Thus, acquiring knowledge that were shared by the guest speakers were beyond enough for the organization to continue its motivation to drive the society for a better future.

Student members of the organization noted that the experience strengthened their sense of empathy and deepened their understanding of social realities, particularly issues related to sovereignty, the learning crisis, and economic hardship. The activity also reinforced their commitment to advocacies aligned with inclusive development and community empowerment.

The successful conduct of the webinar demonstrated the importance of collaboration between student organizations, professionals, and students in addressing social concerns. It highlighted how collective action and informed dialogue can create meaningful impact for the nation.

The activity reflects the University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity, and Fortitude by encouraging active participation in community-centered initiatives. It also supports experiential learning by allowing students to engage directly in programs that develop social awareness and civic competence.
