Encouraging students to express their emotions and reflect on their well-being, the Junior Marketing Association of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation joined the Office of Student Affairs and Services’ mental health celebration through an “Inside Out”-themed booth on Oct. 9 at the St. Bonaventure Center.
Presented as an entry in the Most Interactive Booth competition, the exhibit drew inspiration from the emotions Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear. Its activities offered students different ways to share their thoughts and connect with fellow participants.
Visitors wrote personal thoughts on the Confession Wall and expressed their feelings through the Emotion Wall. A Color Ribbon Activity also invited participants to choose ribbons representing their current emotions.
The activities aimed to encourage open conversations about mental health while promoting empathy, inclusion and emotional support within the University community.
A local cookie merchant also participated in the booth, providing motivational quotes with every purchase. The collaboration added an element of student enterprise while sharing messages of encouragement with visitors.
Through its participation, the Junior Marketing Association supported campus mental health advocacy and used a familiar animated film concept to make conversations about emotions more approachable.
The activity supported the University’s commitment to student development by creating opportunities for emotional awareness, peer interaction and organizational involvement. It also reflected the core values of Mindfulness, Service and Unity through activities that encouraged students to recognize their feelings and support one another.
