Promoting physical, emotional, social and academic well-being, the Basic Education Department Guidance and Testing Office of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences Psychological Society, conducted Wellness Week from Oct. 5 to 9, 2026, at basic education facilities, including the department’s library.

The five-day program offered daily activities that encouraged students to practice healthy habits, express their emotions, interact with others and participate in learning experiences beyond their regular classroom activities.

Feel Good Monday opened the celebration on Oct. 5 with dance and workout challenges focused on physical wellness. Talk It Out Tuesday followed on Oct. 6, providing drawing, clay and open-line telephone activities that encouraged emotional expression.

On Oct. 7, Wellness Wednesday promoted social interaction through board games, puzzles, Rubik’s Cube, Jenga and passing-the-message activities. These activities gave students opportunities to communicate, cooperate and spend time with their peers.

Thoughtful Thursday on Oct. 8 focused on academic wellness through trivia games and questions about academics and mental health. Mindful Friday concluded the celebration on Oct. 9 with a screening of “Swapped.”

A total of 48 officers, committee members and members of the CAS Psychological Society supported the program through assigned duty schedules throughout the week. They covered morning and afternoon shifts and provided prizes to encourage student participation.

Through the collaboration, the organizers incorporated different dimensions of wellness into school activities while giving psychology students opportunities to support younger learners and apply teamwork and organizational skills.

The program supported the University’s instruction and community service functions by connecting student wellness activities with opportunities for experiential learning and volunteer service. It also reflected the core values of Mindfulness, Service and Unity through attention to student well-being and cooperation between the guidance office and the CAS Psychological Society.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being: The program promoted physical activity, emotional expression and mental health awareness among basic education students.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education: The activities complemented classroom learning by addressing student wellness and providing opportunities for social interaction and academic engagement.
