OSAS personnel gather for news article writing workshop
To empower the personnel with the skills needed to communicate effectively, specifically in writing articles to produce clear, informative, and engaging content to highlight the its programs and activities, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) facilitated its first training-workshop for news article writing for OSAS microsite held at OSAS Conference room, Dec. 17.
Alviña Bolo, OSAS Psychometrician and the appointed social media manager, discussed the Website Posting Guide, including accessing the admin panel, creating a new post, setting up the permalink of a web page, adding a media, adding description, adding keywords, setting up the thumbnail, adding SDG's.
Additionally, Rey Marco Casiño, Guidance Counselor, discussed the Writing Standards Guide including guide to AP style writing, including AP style guidelines for numbers, dates, citations, and headlines. Mr. Casiño also addressed the news writing guidelines.
The Web Content and Digital Engagement also provided the said materials at their microsite.
"The workshop on news article writing marks just one of the many initiatives by OSAS to promote professional development and improve the communication skills of its personnel," OSAS Director Joana Fe Panganiban said.
"By investing in such learning opportunities, OSAS continues to support its personnel in adapting to the evolving demands of their roles, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve the student community," Director Panganiban added.
