Envergan faculty researchers’ collab gets new publication
Researchers from three academic departments of Enverga University published their collaborative research at the 11th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICoICT) last August 2023.
The researchers from the College of Computing & Multimedia Studies (CCMS), College of Engineering (CEng), and College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) worked together to bring another research achievement to Enverga University.
Assoc. Prof. Susana De Castro and Engr. Roselyn Maaño from CCMS, Engr. Cielito Maligalig and Dr. Ronaldo Maaño from CEng, and Dr. Pedro Jose De Castro from the CAS collaborated and invited Dr. Enrico Chavez from another esteemed university from Manila.
Their study “SmartHatch: An Internet of Things–Based Temperature and Humidity Monitoring System for Poultry Egg Incubation and Hatchability,” was published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The project involved creating an Internet of Things (IoT) system for monitoring temperature and humidity in a poultry egg incubator. The prototype included components such as an Arduino microcontroller and temperature-humidity sensors.
Engr. Roselyn Maaño, director of the Research Publication, Incubation, and Utilization Center, expressed the importance of collaboration in research and encouraged the Envergan community to engage in research publication through collaboration.
"Our collaboration across departments allows us to bring diverse expertise to this innovative project. This is the importance of collaboration in research, so, I encourage our Envergan faculty members to actively engage in research publication through collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge dissemination. Together, Envergans Achieve More!, " Engr. Maaño stated.
