GEP-QSC strengthens organizational skills through GE letter, planning Workshop
To strengthen members’ skills in preparing organizational documents and planning student activities, the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines-Quezon Student Chapter (GEP-QSC) conducted the GE Letter and Planning Workshop at the CET Building at the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.
The workshop aimed to familiarize GEP-QSC officers and members with the preparation and processing of documents needed for organizational activities. Participants learned how to prepare letters for in-campus and off-campus events, identify the appropriate offices and personnel to address documents to, and understand the approval process for student organization activities.
During the session, facilitators introduced the MyOSAS platform, where students can access templates and requirements for various organizational documents using their university accounts. The discussion helped members become more familiar with the resources available for managing organization-related processes.
The workshop also provided a venue for members to discuss and plan the organization’s proposed activities and projects for the academic year. Through collaborative planning, participants considered proper scheduling, documentation and implementation strategies to support the successful conduct of future initiatives.
The activity enhanced the participants’ understanding of university procedures and administrative requirements for student organization activities. Members gained practical knowledge in preparing official letters, coordinating with university offices and managing documentation requirements.
Through the GE Letter and Planning Workshop, GEP-QSC members developed greater confidence in handling organizational responsibilities and improved their ability to plan and implement activities effectively.
The GE Letter and Planning Workshop supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered learning and learning by doing by providing students with practical experience in organizational management and activity planning. The initiative also reflected the university’s core values of Service and Excellence by developing students’ administrative skills, responsibility and commitment to effective leadership.
The activity contributed to the development of graduates with leadership and managerial skills by strengthening their ability to organize, communicate and collaborate in carrying out student initiatives.
