Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), in collaboration with the University Collegiate Student Council (UCSC) and various student organizations, welcomed freshmen and new students with engaging activities and delightful surprises to mark the first day of school for Academic Year 2024-2025, Aug. 5.

The event, known as "OSAlubong," aimed to provide an interactive and exciting introduction to the university experience, helping new students feel comfortable and embraced by the Envergan community.

As part of the event, OSAS set up a booth in front of their building, where students could participate in games and win prizes, including exclusive EU merchandise.

The booth created a lively atmosphere, drawing in students eager to take part in the activities and start their academic journey on a high note.

"We wanted to create a welcoming environment where students can feel a sense of belonging from day one," said Joane FE Panganiban, Director of OSAS. "By collaborating with UCSC and student organizations, we were able to offer a range of fun activities that not only entertain but also help students connect with their peers and the larger university community."

The OSAlubong event is part of OSAS's ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth transition for freshmen and new students into university life.

"These activities are designed to encourage interaction and engagement, which are crucial for the well-being and personal growth of our students," Panganiban added.

"We believe that when students feel supported and connected, they are more likely to thrive academically and socially."

By fostering a sense of unity and excitement, the event set a positive tone for the academic year ahead. It reinforced the university's commitment to student support, with OSAS playing a key role in creating an inclusive and engaging campus environment.
