MSEUF strengthens academic linkaging; explores sustainability, innovation at DLSU-D
To explore best practices in sustainability and innovation, Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, assistant vice president for academics and research, Office of Special Internationalization Projects officer-in-charge Dr. Jennifer Reyes, and academic leaders from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) on behalf of CEO/Chairman Atty. Wilfrido Enverga, President/COO Madame Naila Leveriza, and Execeutive Vice Dr. President Benilda Villenas visited De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) , Jan. 30.
DLSU-D, recognized as the Greenest University in the Philippines, according to the UI Green Metric World University Rankings 2024, welcomed the MSEUF delegation led by Dr. Maria Nornelyn Cachuela, director for the Linkages and Scholarship Office, along with other DLSU-D officials.
Discussions highlighted DLSU-D’s international partnerships and scholarship opportunities, focusing on initiatives that enhance student and faculty mobility. The DLSU-D's green programs for sustainability were also showcased, demonstrating its commitment to eco-friendly campus operations, research, and community engagement.
The MSEUF delegation included Engr.Roselyn Maaño, research and publication director; Dr. Divinia Glifonea, College of Education dean; Engr. Cielito Maligalig, College of Engineering dean; Dean Rodrigo Belleza, College of Computing and Multimedia Studies dean; Dr. Maricel Herrera, College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management; Dir. Leah Salas, Corporate Planning and Development Officer/CME administrative officer; Dr. Ma. Teresa Hidalgo, Business Education program chair; Dr. Felixberto M. Mercado, Institute of Graduate Studies and Research dean; and Dir. Reina Pasumbal, Learning Development Center director.
DLSU-D officials present included Dr. Jefferson Buenaviaje, director of the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office; Dr. Christian George Francisco, vice president for Global Engagement and External Relations; Ms. Geraldine Zamora, pollution and control officer; Ms. Jhelyn Relopez, community extension officer; Dr. Johnny Ching, provost for research; and Dr. Jose Aims Rocina, director of the University Research Office.
Dr. Jennifer B. Reyes presented MSEUF's EU FLIGHT initiative and explored potential partnerships in faculty and student mobility programs abroad.
“This benchmarking visit provided valuable insights and opportunities for collaboration, reinforcing MSEUF’s commitment to strengthening international linkages and advancing sustainability initiatives,” Dr. Reyes said.
The visit marked a step forward in fostering institutional partnerships aimed at academic growth and environmental responsibility.
