MSEUF CIHTM benchmarks Chung-Hua University Taiwan; strengthens SDG collaboration

Fifty-five students and two faculty members from the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) visited Chung Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan, a co-accredited institution under the Asia Pacific Institute of Events Management, Nov. 22

The educational visit, held to foster international collaboration, cultural exchange, and shared learning experiences, emphasized the importance of building connections between institutions.

The visit went beyond observation, focusing on key discussions related to events management procedures, sustainable tourism practices aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and professional development. Both universities also explored ways to promote global citizenship and enhance tolerance for diversity among students and faculty.

Representing MSEUF, Mr. Denmark H. Catan shared insights on the 17 SDGs and how CIHTM integrates these global goals into its practices.

Catan's presentation sparked meaningful exchanges with the administrators and students of Chung Hua University.

Hsinwen Chang, Dean of the College of Tourism at Chung Hua, shared their institution’s initiatives and policies in advancing SDG-aligned education through benchmarking activities.

This international visit strengthened both universities' commitment to sustainable tourism and reinforced the importance of collaboration in achieving global goals. The experience serves as a bridge for future partnerships, paving the way for mutual learning and innovation between the two institutions.

The activity aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, contributing to global efforts to promote inclusive and sustainable growth through education.
