MSEUF CNAHS, Mt. Carmel Diocesan General Hospital partner to strengthen MedTech internship programs

To provide Medical Technology students with internship opportunities for the academic year 2023-2024, the College of Allied Health Sciences at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) formalized a partnership with Mt. Carmel Diocesan General Hospital (MCDGH), Feb. 2.

This collaboration aimed to offer students hands-on clinical experience to enhance their practical skills and prepare them for future careers in healthcare.

Key representatives from both institutions attended the signing ceremony including Dr. Mary Judith Chan, Health Supervisor of CHEDRO 4A and RQAT Chair; Dr. Jurell M. Nuevo, President of the Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology and Public Health; Dr. Roy O. Arceo, Medical Director of MCDGH; Ms. Khristine Moreno, Chief Medical Technologist of MCDGH; and Dr. Carmina Tolentino, Program Chairperson of MSEUF’s Medical Technology Program. The event also included Ms. Jonna Tacsay, representing Our Lady of Fatima University–Laguna.

Through this partnership, MSEUF emphasized its commitment to equipping students with the skills and experiences necessary to excel in the healthcare field. The collaboration aimed to strengthen students’ competencies through real-world training in a clinical environment.

"This internship program marked a significant step in fostering professional growth among Medical Technology students while building stronger connections between the university, its partner institutions, and the community," CNAHS Dean Dr. Ma. Corazon Valdeavilla sad. "Both MSEUF and MCDGH looked forward to a successful partnership that would benefit the students and support the development of quality healthcare services," Dr. Valdeavilla added.
