To provide an opportunity for educators to exchange ideas and strategies for teaching human rights and fostering a culture that respects and promotes these principles through education, Dr. Dennis Albert Gonzales from the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CCJC) attended the 2023 CHRE Human Rights Educators Forum at the North Pointe Residences and Hotel in Quezon City, May 18-19.

Dr. Gonzales’ engagement in the forum proved his dedication to integrating human rights principles into educational practices while contributing to creating a learning environment that upholds justice, equality, and respect for human dignity.

The forum aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals. It supported SDG 16 by promoting peaceful and inclusive societies through education that emphasized justice and freedom. The forum also advanced SDG 4 by encouraging participants to integrate human rights principles into teaching practices, thereby promoting equitable and quality education that highlighted justice and dignity.

Furthermore, the event addressed SDG 10 by fostering equality and advocating for fairness and justice for all individuals, contributing to the reduction of inequalities within and among societies.
